Mission Statement Mastiff Rescue of Virginia (VA) is dedicated to the rescue and placement of Old English Mastiffs that are in need of a new home. We place dogs with families able and willing to provide a safe, loving, forever home.
About Mastiff Rescue of Virginia Mastiff Rescue of VA is a volunteer based organization with 50l(c)3 status whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome Old English Mastiffs in need. We work in conjunction with other rescue groups, shelters, and private owners inside and outside our interest area to ensure the safety and happiness of Old English Mastiffs.
We do not accept any dogs that have shown past aggression towards people or other animals.
Mastiffs accepted into our organization are vetted, medically assessed, altered (spayed/neutered), microchipped and placed in pre-approved foster homes until a suitable forever home is available. Foster homes are a vital part of the program as this gives us the opportunity to assess the dog’s temperament, i.e. how well it gets along with children, other dogs, cats, house training, leash training and level of activity. This information helps us determine the right home for each dog. Mastiff Rescue of Virginia can assist you in finding that very special companion.
